Chat Room Rules

Welcome to UK Chat Rooms! To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone, we have established the following rules for all our chat rooms, including IRC channels. These rules apply to text, voice, and video chat.

General Chat Rules

• Be respectful to all users. No harassment, threats, or abusive language.
• No spamming, excessive advertising, or posting of irrelevant links.
• Keep personal information private. Do not share your address, phone number, or passwords.
• NSFW content (nudity, sexual content, extreme violence) is strictly prohibited.
• No impersonation of staff members or other users.
• Follow the specific rules of each chat room or IRC channel.

IRC Channel Rules

Our IRC channels are an integral part of the HybridIRC project. The following rules apply specifically to IRC users:

• Do not flood the channel with repeated messages.
• Respect channel operators and staff at all times.
• Use appropriate nicknames – offensive names are not allowed.
• No script bots unless approved by channel admins.
• Keep channel topics relevant and avoid off-topic arguments.
• English is the preferred language for communication.

Voice & Video Chat Rules

• Be courteous and do not interrupt others.
• Do not broadcast offensive audio or video content.
• Respect user privacy – do not record or stream others without permission.
• Follow moderators’ instructions at all times.

Consequences

Violating these rules may result in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent removal from our chat rooms and IRC channels. Our moderators are here to maintain a friendly and safe environment for everyone.
